As of version 5.103 of Vasto Educator, it is possible to schedule the delivery of reports that have been saved using the Custom Report Generator. By taking advantage of the new "quick date" filters, you can save a report that is able to be run on a recurring basis.
Under the Report menu, select the "Report Scheduler" option:
This screen will show you any of the System Default reports that we have in our library, or any that you've saved in the Custom Report Generator and generated at least once. By generating the report in the Custom Report Generator first, this helps to ensure that your report is returning the data and layout that you are expecting.
Each report in this list is able to be run on an ad-hoc basis by clicking on the "Run" button, or you can define a schedule by clicking on the "New Schedule" button. This opens the schedule modal, where you can define your schedule:
In this example, I would like a report of last quarter's enrolment numbers to be delivered at 10:00 on the first day of the next Quarter (January, April, July and October 1) with the "last quarter" date range selected.
When July 1 rolls around, the report will be generated for April 1 to June 30 and emailed to the nominated address when it's complete.
