Branding Editor
The Branding Editor is used to customise the look and feel of the organisation's portal, both for themselves and for the students who enrol and study through them.
See Branding for more information about using the branding editor.
Add Alias
An alias is a customised link suffix which appears in the client's web addresses for both student enrolment and student login. This alias can be customised to whatever is deemed appropriate, but usually is an abbreviated version of the company name.
For example: The EyeQ Training Group might have an alias of eyeqtraining, meaning that their web addresses for student enrolment and student login would be http://elearner.net.au/eyeqtraining_enrol and http://elearner.net.au/eyeqtraining, respectively. The alias is also used as a basis for all other system links for that client.
An alias must be created before that client can use any aspect of the Vasto system, and the alias must be unique.
Important: When creating an alias, you must check that the name is spelled correctly and is chosen carefully, as it is very difficult to change this alias later. Changing an alias is not recommended, as all previous links (including those given to students, for them to enrol and access their lessons) will become unusable.
1. Check Availability
Type an alias into the box and click the Check Availability button.
2. Alias OK?
If the alias has not yet been assigned to anyone else, you will see a confirmation message.
If not, EDIT the alias and try again.
3. Save
When you are sure that the alias is acceptable, click SAVE to set it in place.
The alias will then be reserved exclusively for the client, and will not be able to be used by anyone else.
4. View Aliases
To view all client aliases, click Close, to return to the Corporate Clients Manager screen.
The aliases will be listed here, with the client names:
Add/Change Logo
Using this function, you can change the logo which appears in the top left-hand corner of the screen, to identify the client. This logo is not the overall logo which appears in the top left-hand corner on every portal page.
Before you upload a file, the file must meet the minimum requirements:
File type:PNG, JPG or GIF image
Optimum size: 100px wide x 120px high.
Where possible, keep the image to these exact dimensions. If you use a file which is smaller or larger than this, the image will appear distorted.
1. Choose File and Upload
Click Choose File to locate the logo file on your computer or network.
When chosen, click Upload File.
2. Preview Logo
Afterwards you will see the logo appear next to the client name:
Collecting Payments
The Collecting Payments section controls what happens when a student makes a payment for a course or unit which uses this client's branding.
1. Branding Settings and Invoice Header
Choose which branding the client will use for their student invoices. The client can use their own branding, or your admin portal branding.
If the client wants to use their own branding, upload an invoice header file. This file will appear at the top of any invoices issued for the client's enrolments.
This header image must be:
JPEG file type (.JPG or .JPEG)
Exactly 1000 pixels wide x 100 pixels high
After it's been uploaded, you will see a small preview of the image file:
2. Invoice Details
Insert the client's invoice details, such as their billing email address, billing phone number and any payment instructions.
These details will appear on all the client's invoices.
3. Client ABN
Also check that the client has an ABN listed in their account (located on the left-hand side of the page)
This ABN will be listed on all the client's invoices (where their branding is used).
4. Client Address
A client address should also be entered in their account.
This address will also be visible on all invoices issued on the client's behalf (i.e. for enrolments which their branding is applied to).
For the address to be displayed on the invoice, it must be set up as an "Office", "Head office" or "Postal" address.
Click the "Addresses" tab, and then "Add an address"(if an "Office", "Head office" or "Postal" address doesn't exist yet).
5. Save And Close
When you have updated those settings, SAVE and CLOSE the client's settings page.
Paypal Payments Direct to Corporate Clients
Set up your CORPORATE CLIENTS own PayPal accounts - see the BRANDING tab's Collecting Payments Section of your corporate client profile pages.
When a Corporate Client has PayPal set up in Vasto, student portal payments will go directly to their PayPal account if the students enrolment brand is that Corporate Client. Non sub-branded enrolments go to the account you have set up in BILLING SETTINGS.
Note: Where a subscriber has any sub-brand payment facilitation methods enabled (i.e. PayPal) in corp profiles, payment requests can only be settled by students if the brand of student portal they're logged into matches the brand of the payment requests.
If they cannot see the payment request there - Let them know to go to MY BILLING they will see a link to log out and come back in to the correct branded portal. When they do that and go to MY BILLING they will see the Payment Request ready to be paid.
You can run eWAY and PayPal options together which lets the student choose the method they prefer, however if the Corporate Client's PayPal is set up and it's a sub-branded enrolment, they only see the PayPal option.
To accept Subscriber PayPal Payments ONLY - Just click on 'Activate Payments' button in BILLING SETTINGS and set up your own PayPal Details there.
To accept Corporate Client PayPal payments ONLY - Go to CORPORATE CLIENTS in the SETUP menu and set up their PayPal details there.
To accept BOTH Subscriber AND Corporate PayPal payments - Set PayPal details up in both places (BILLING SETTINGS & CORPORATE CLIENTS > BRANDING tab)
FAQ: I added information in the Branding Manager area but it didn't save in the booking?
You first need to SETUP > BRANDING MANAGER > locate the client then EDIT Make sure you have added a department first in DEPT tab and then assign the coordinator to a department in the COORDS tab Once this is done, it will save on bookings.
