Admin users can manually over ride the grade and status of an individual activity via the admin grading function. This action is performed from the timetable item, and can be done for a single student or bulk updated for multiple students.
Using Admin Grading for Activity Results
- Navigate to the manage enrolments timetable view
- Click the Admin Grading button
- First, use the unit drop down list to select the unit that contains the activity you wish to grade.
If this is a timetable for a single unit of competency, you will still need to make a selection. - Next, use the activity drop down list to select the activity you wish to apply grading for
- Once the unit and activity have been selected, click the button to navigate to the 'selected activity outcome editor'
- To override results for an individual student, populate the fields directly
To override results in bulk for multiple students, populate instead the 'Apply to all ticked' fields.
Use the selection check box to tick the students the changes should apply to.
Click the apply button.
NOTE: The 'Activity Grade' column does not need to be completed for pass/fail results. However, it should be used if the result is less than 100%. - Click button to save grading updates.
-
In the bottom left of screen, you will receive a notification banner confirming the changes have been saved.
NOTE: When overriding results in bulk for multiple students, it may take some time to process. Do not refresh or navigate away from the page until you get the on-screen notification.
- Now admin override grading is complete, click the close button in bottom right of screen.
-
When viewing the progress tracker for the student enrolment this should display the applied override grade.
This includes the purple text ASR, which stands for 'Admin Saved Result'.
This indicates the result has been applied manually by an admin user, and not achieved organically as the student progresses through the learning content.
