Vouchers are codes which a student can provide at point of enrolment which activate a discounted fee.
They can be used as a tool for marketing campaigns or promotional reasons, for lead tracking, as part of general business practice or to reward repeat students.
Enable/Disable Vouchers
The voucher field can be removed from the student enrolment form entirely.
They can also be enabled for only short courses (single unit of competency) or enabled only for courses.
This may be useful if you will not be utilising the feature, want to immediately prevent students from redeeming any vouchers that have been created, or will only offer discounts on enrolments into courses OR single units - not both.
- Navigate to Setup > System Defaults
-
Make sure the fields to enable voucher codes are not selected
Navigate to Voucher Management
Voucher management can be located from the menu via Manage > Vouchers
Using Search and Filters
Vouchers display as a tile, and populate into a list with a grid formation.
By default, when the voucher manager is opened, it will display the unredeemed vouchers category.
Use the status filter to change the display category.
There is also a search box. Type in your search term and hit enter on your keyboard to run the search.
View, Edit or Delete a Voucher
The voucher tile contains the voucher code in the top right, summary information, and three icons.
These icons are for edit, view, and delete respectively.
Edit Voucher
Click the pen & paper icon to edit the voucher details.
Make sure you save any changes made in this pop-up.
View Voucher Redemptions
Click the eyeball icon to view voucher redemption details.
A pop-up will open, keeping the voucher tile visible and displaying a list of student enrolments below. These are the enrolments where this voucher was applied.
There are hyperlinks to the following system locations, as identified in the below image;
- individual profile
- booking editor
- timetable manage enrolments view
- student progress tracker
Delete Voucher
Click the trash can icon to instantly delete a voucher.
Vouchers for Bundles
For a voucher to work with a bundle enrolment, the voucher cannot be limited by course, unit, or timetable ID.
This is due to the fact that the bundle will include more than one course/unit/timetable.
Vouchers in Widgets
If a voucher code is applied to a widget, the voucher code field will not display on the student enrolment form. This is due to the fact that a voucher is already applied to the enrolment.
