We've added a new Activity Type (Reading Material) that lets you author your content!

This new Activity Type will allow content authoring using our Rich Content Editor (WYSIWYG). You can add this Activity Type by going to the Unit → Activities tab → Add Activity → Reading Material → add Title and click, Save.

Then, click the Edit icon next to the Reading Material Activity and go to the Resources tab. You can use the Rich Content Editor (WYSIWYG) to author the page from here. The Rich Content Editor (WYSIWYG) supports embedded Media and iFrames, making embedding H5P, Videos and other interactive learning content possible!

We've added a 'Matching Record Alert' for when an Admin adds a New Enrolment to an Existing Booking.

When viewing a Booking Page for a Timetable, you can Add a Student.

Now, when you attempt to Add a Student, it will alert you if a 'Matching Record' is found to reduce your risk of creating a duplicate record. If an existing record DOES exist, it will allow the selection of the person. However, if you feel the record does NOT match, click Close. 

We've made it possible to auto-upgrade Timetabled Units individually. 

Currently, the Unit Upgrade feature is only available for Course structures where the Upgraded Unit is a constituent of that Course. As part of this Release, we now allow Upgrade mechanisms where Units are Timetabled directly (i.e. not part of a Course). 

To see this feature, go to the Unit → Map tab → Upgrades (optional) → checkbox: Automatically upgrade all enrolled students who have not started this unit*. 

We've changed the 'Login Details to Student' label to 'Reset and Send Credentials to User'. 

For further clarity, for our Admin Users, we've changed the 'Login Details to Student' label to 'Reset and Send Credentials to User'. 

We've made it possible to Search using a Vasto Course or Unit ID. 

When using the Find feature in Vasto, you can search for a Course or Unit by typing the Unique Vasto ID. When searching, you must use the correct prefix. 

• Course - C:[Course ID]
• Unit - U:[Unit ID]

We've made it possible to Record Attendance, against a Session, from the Activity Sessions Editor. 

To view the Activity Sessions Editor, go to the Timetable → Edit Timetable → Page 2: Units and Pathways → Session Schedule (Calendar Icon). 

Once you click the 'Session Schedule' button, you will be presented with the Activity Sessions Editor. To grade Attendance against a Session, as an Admin, click the Person Icon next to the relevant Session. 

You will then be presented with the Session Attendance and Grading page. 

We've improved how we manage Traineeships and Apprenticeships in Vasto. 

We've added a separate Traineeship Column to the Advanced Student Editor.

The existing Training Contract ID and Apprenticeships ID fields have been moved here, and the Training Contract Date fields have been added along with the Employer field. 

  Please note the Training Contract and Apprenticeships ID are read-only on the Funded Training Information tab of the Advanced Student Editor and have been reorganised to sit together.

In our continued effort to make Vasto the most reliable student management system in the market, we've eliminated several issues in the platform with this update! 

Here's a quick rundown on those fixes:

• We've resolved an issue that would cause a Sub-Brand to revert to the Main Account Branding when a User clicks on [PERSON NAME] ACCOUNT. [VAS-87]
• We've resolved an issue (in the Corporate Portal) that prevented the Date Filters when searching for a Student from working correctly. [VAS-145]
• We've resolved an issue (in the Partner Portal) that would cause blank details on the Scope page. [VAS-206]
