We're continuing our never-ending quest to make Vasto the best student management system on the planet! ðŸŒŽ ðŸ’œ

  New

We've made it possible to add an Activity to ALL Pathways.

When adding a new Activity to a Unit, you can now choose to 'Save and Add to ALL Pathways'. This will add the Activity to all existing (pre-established) Pathways for the Unit.

We've made it possible to remove Booking Confirmation (Email/Letter) and Automated Messaging (Email/SMS) Templates.

It is now possible to REMOVE a Template. This can be done by going to Setup → Templates → Select Booking Confirmations (Email or Letter) or Automated Messages (Email/SMS). When viewing the Templates, you can now click the orange X button to remove a Template.

If a Template is in use when you attempt to remove it, you will be prompted to change the Template to another Template.

If you attempt to remove the ONLY existing Template and it is already in use, you will be prompted to create a NEW Template before proceeding. Please note this is not available for Certificate Templates as they are linked to individual Certificate entries and Courses and Units.

  Improved

We've made it possible to map Pathways as part of the Unit Upgrade process.

When upgrading a Unit (Unit → Map tab), you now have the ability to map the Pathways in the current Unit to the equivalent Pathways in the Upgrade-To Unit

An Admin is no longer required to EDIT the existing Timetable Item Pathways option after introducing a Unit Upgrade. Once the Unit Upgrade and Pathway Mapping are completed, the Students who have been upgraded will automatically be presented with the new Pathway equivalent.

If an equivalent Pathway contains a Session Activity, any previously created Sessions (created in the original Pathway) will be presented to Students. It is not necessary for an Admin to create a Session Activity to the Timetabled instances of the Upgraded Unit.

Those using the Upgrade and Session Mapping, please note the following: Skills / Competency Checklists for the Trainer are always drawn from the original Unit. If you require Students to be assessed based on Skills and Competencies defined in the Upgrade-To Unit, you must switch Upgraded Students to a NEW Timetable Item, which directly Timetables the New Unit.

We've made some updates to our Integration with Catapult.

This update only impacts Catapult customers who subscribe, not those who currently pay per unit.

As an Admin, you can now go to Set-Up → My Account to see the number of Catapult Units you have subscribed to and the number of units you have already consumed. Previously, it was only possible to see the number of consumer units, but now, you can see the difference between a Standard Unit, My Catapult Unit and a Custom Unit.

This data is made available by the Catapult API.

  Fixed

In our continued effort to make Vasto the most reliable student management system in the market, we've eliminated several issues in the platform with this update!

Here's a quick rundown on those fixes:

  • We've adjusted the States Selections to better align with the AVETMISS Values and corrected the AVETMISS Data Reporting where the State is Overseas or left Blank. [VA-118]
  • We've resolved an issue that would cause the checkbox for Non-Program Structure on a Course not to save. [VA-121]
  • We've resolved an issue preventing USIs from saving against a Student Profile when created in the Corporate Portal. [VA-130]
  • We've resolved an issue causing the None option of the Bulk Ticket Selector on the Manage Enrolments screen of a Timetable only to deselect the last enrolment. [VA-131]
  • We've resolved an issue causing the Edit Activity File window to display behind the parent window. It should now display on top. [VAS-135]
