Progress Tracker - View Activity Timeline

The activity timeline function is accessible from the progress tracker where a student is enrolled for a course. (ie. this function is not available for enrolment into a single unit).

The activity timeline graphically represents the learner's activity in each of the units in their course.

This visual representation may be useful to ensure manually entered dates have been entered accurately, or as a more visual method of monitoring a student's progress.

Open the Activity Timeline

  1. Open the progress tracker
  2. Click the view activity timeline button

Interpreting the Activity Timeline

The timeline graph shows;

  • Current Unit Status
    This is reflected with a unique colour and the outcome status code. For example, the unit status CA for competency achieved is reflected with a green bar.

  • Unit State date
    A bar will populate from the point on the Y axis that intersects with the date the student commenced that unit

  • Unit End date
    A bar will end at the point on the Y axis that intersects with the date the student completed or otherwise terminated that unit

  • Unit code
  • Unit start and end dates
  • Total duration of study for that unit
