Deactivate or Delete a Time Extension

A time extension can be revoked either by deactivating it (temporary) or by deleting it (permanent).

Deactivate a time extension

Deactivating an extension will prevent a student from accessing the course. It temporarily revokes the extension which had previously been applied. 

How to deactivate a time extension

1. Open the advanced student editor
   
   
2. Click on the time limit icon
   
   
   
3. Click the deactivate icon against the time extension you wish to suspend
   

A deactivated time extension can easily be re-activated at any time. Follow the same steps above, but the activate icon will be available instead.

Delete a time extension

Deleting an extension will also prevent the student from accessing the course, by permanently removing the extension which was previously applied.

If a deleted time extension needed to be re-activated, a new time extension request would need to be applied because the previous one no longer exists.

How to delete a time extension

2. Click on the time limit icon
   
   
   
3. In the list of time extensions, click the delete icon
