This release focuses on improving declarations, delivery schedules, reporting, and portal usability across Vasto. Staff and student declaration workflows have been expanded with file uploads, review links, merge fields, and clearer access from progress tracking screens. We’ve also added due dates to Delivery Schedules, extended the Vasto API, updated parts of the interface, and delivered a collection of fixes across automated messaging, timetable switching, Catapult access, enrolment upgrades, and VET profile handling.

Improvements

• Added merge fields to Staff Declaration activities.
• Students can now upload files as part of their declaration
• Added a page to view staff declaration submissions, including attached files.

• Altered the Vasto Progress Tracker to provide a link for admin to access their declarations.

• Added status and review links for Assessor and Trainer declarations.

• Added a link for assessors and trainers to access their declarations from the student activities list.
• We now allow students to view uploaded files from Staff Declarations where the “allow student to view uploaded file” box is ticked.
• Added the option to bypass system messaging for some forms in the Student Portal. This lets the messages go to an override email, which you can configure to be your external ticketing system.
• Fixed an issue where Catapult units with “Allow students to access after completion” could be accessed if the result was Credit Transfer or RPL. These results generally indicate that the content did not need to be completed and thus opening it would result in additional charges.
• Added due dates to Delivery Schedules. These are configured in the same way as start/end dates and provide a visual indicator to students, assessors and administrators about when an activity is due.
• Fixed an issue where course and unit custom fields were set to “global” by default. They are now attached to the current course or module by default.
• Updated the Vasto main menu layout.
• Added “private” as a filter for timetable items in the Vasto API
• Removed student contact details from admin-generated class attendance lists if the “hide contact details” preference is enabled.
• Updated the Corporate Client Training Report to use our background reporting jobs.
• Fixed an issue where the enrolment unit outcome editor was showing “pre-upgrade” unit codes
• Fixed an issue where student gender was not pushed when saving VET profile in the admin portal.

Bug Fixes

• Automated messages no longer erroneously send for orphaned enrolments with deleted bookings.
• No longer showing “private” timetable items in the switch list if students are switching from a “public” timetable.
• Fixed an issue where automated messages containing a ? were not being sent.
• Fixed an issue where unit upgrades were not considering pathway mappings.
• Fixed an issue that occurs when trying to process a course switch for enrolments that have an RPL result.
