Vasto 5.112 brings a refreshed dashboard experience, dark mode support, stronger account security, and improvements to organisations managing multiple Vasto accounts. This release also continues our focus on data quality and reliability, with fixes across USI validation, enrolment emails, reporting, partner timetables, LTI activities and branding. Behind the scenes, we’ve also begun enforcing multi-factor authentication for internal users as part of our ongoing security improvements.
Improvements
- Started enforcing MFA for all internal users.
- Added dark mode, reducing the need for sunglasses during routine system use.
- Fixed an issue where the “about this page tutorial video” button was positioned over the user details button
- Added the ability for customers with more than one account to share their admin users across those accounts.
- Added street number, street name and PO Box fields to the validation on the “collect more student details at enrolment time” form
- We have a new Vasto dashboard! This fits in with our “newer” pages and provides some consolidated views of messages, alerts and declarations.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to change someone’s username to a username that was already in use, as the “save” button was not hiding correctly.
- Fixed an issue where sending booking confirmations from the partner portal appeared not to send.
- Fixed a backend issue where new users were not assigned any permissions.
- Fix for buttons using incorrect text
- Fix for page bottom showing new message modal for non logged in users
- Fixed a backend issue where it was possible to create multiple subscribers with the same email address.
- Fixed a bug where editing a partner timetable item resulted in the brand being “changed”
- Fixed an issue where editing an LTI Tool activity presented blank fields for the LTI configuration values
- Fixed an issue where the USI input in the USI workbench could accept more than 10 characters, so trailing spaces caused validation to fail.
- Expanded our image upload to natively support PNG as well as JPG for logo, login page background, etc. under the Branding options.
- This was previously possible if you selected “all files” but is now easier to provide PNG images for transparent backgrounds.
- Fixed a bug where enrolment confirmation emails with non-UTF-8 characters would be sent as blank
- Re-worked the logic in the Aged Receivables report so that payments made after the specified date were not included
- Fixed an issue with single names for USI in the Student Portal.
