Release 5.110

Vasto 5.110 introduces new tools for managing dashboard messages and directing “Contact Admin” communications, alongside improvements across certificates, messaging, delivery schedules and student information. This release also strengthens administrative controls and financial data handling, improves visibility for trainers and assessors, and includes targeted fixes across reporting, payments, pagination and enrolment workflows.

New Features

• Added the ability for Admin to mass-archive messages on the Vasto dashboard
• Added the ability to set which admin user receives the “contact admin” emails and alerts. This preference in Alert Settings also allows you to redirect the messages to a specific email address, if that email address is not one of your Vasto Admin.
• Added the ability for assessors to view, but not edit, student documents uploaded for their enrolments. This read-only access applies unless the assessor was the original uploader. Additionally, files uploaded by admins are now visible to assessors in a read-only capacity.

Improvements

• Added the AQTF student survey link as a dynamic field to all message templates. This allows you to send your unique survey links to students in an automated message.
• Added the ability to generate a Certificate of Attendance, drawing information from all Short and Practical sessions in the timetable a student is enrolled in.
• We now allow specific invoices to be ignored for Xero sync, e.g. in the case that you have an error around negative amounts or “can’t edit paid invoices”, these can be ignored to allow the rest of your invoices to sync.
• Added the ability to rename and delete Delivery Schedules, assuming they’re not in use.
• Added some documentation and examples for using the Vasto API to replace widgets on your website.
• Added a system and email alert to admin when someone self-identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
• Updated look-and-feel of credit card payment form for students.
• Stopped storing “last 4 digits” of credit card numbers as this is considered “financial information”
• Added assessor name to units within the Student Portal
• Added the ability for students to enter pronouns, which will be presented to Admin, Trainers and Assessors in their portals.
• Added in some more indicators for Admin, Trainers and Assessors to show if a student is underage, disabled or indigenous.
• Added a new permission for admins to control whether you can “log in as user” or not.
• Added a new alert preference for notifying administrators when someone marks “disability” or “indigenous status” in case you have additional procedures or accommodations to make.
• Updated styles for the student AVETMISS profile page
• Added a setting under setup->system defaults->Training workflows to hide student contact details from trainers and assessors. This includes email, phone and address. 

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where exam Performance and Knowledge Evidence lists were not numbered correctly.
• Fixed an issue on the Edit Organisation page, where employee lists were not paginating correctly.
• Fixed a display bug with the drop-downs on the Trainer Availability Report filters.
• Fixed the appearance of duplicate trainers under Manage → Trainers when they’re associated with multiple Partner Organisations
• Fixed an issue where it was possible to save Traineeship information without selecting an employer or AASN. Validation and links to create a new one have been added to the popup.
• Fixed issue with Eway request data when there were badly encoded characters
• Fixed issue with invalid date range when continuing AVETMISS generation
• Fixed a bug where students were not sent an email or system message when a payment request was raised for their enrolment.
• Updated some of the logic in the RTO Renewal Report to account for courses with the same code returning different enrolment accounts, include “in progress” enrolments on the second sheet and only VET units in the survey page.
• Fixed issue where Eway test payments were always in AUD not your default currency.
• Sped up the AQTF Survey Data report
