Two-Factor Authentication
This article provides a guide on how to add an extra layer of security to your Vasto Admin account, by setting up Two-Factor Authentication.
Setting up 2FA
- Admin users can enable 2FA by first navigating to Setup → Settings → Access/Security.
- Under the Password settings, you should find a description of what 2FA is and how it can benefit your account to have it enabled. You can click on the image below to read this description.
- Before progressing, you will need to download Google Authenticator or another app that supports 2FA authentication, on your mobile phone. You can open the following links on your mobile device to begin the installation process:
- Apple device - Google Authenticator
- Android device - Google Authenticator
- Jump back into Vasto, and Enable Two-Step Authentication
- Now open your Google Authenticator app on your mobile device. Click the PLUS icon on the bottom-right corner of the screen to add a new account. Click on Scan a QR code.
- Using your device, scan the QR code shown on the Vasto security page.
-
Vasto Educator should now be added to your Authenticator app. Enter the 6 digit numerical code that appears above Vasto Educator in your Google Authenticator app on your mobile device and then click the Test button.
You have now successfully enabled 2FA on your Vasto Admin Account.
Please note that when trying to access your Vasto account, after four unsuccessful attempts to log in (if you try the same incorrect USERNAME 4 times), you have to wait three minutes before trying again.
