Customising Funded Training Fields

You can now edit the array of fields that appears under the FUNDED button on Advanced Students Editor. Go to SETUP > SYSTEM DEFAULTS > FUNDED TRAINING. Tick only the fields you need to use for your RTO's funded training reporting.

If the top tick box labelled "TRUNCATE THE FUNDED FORM" is not ticked, the full array of available funded training fields will be displayed.

You can change your funded training field customisation at any time.

The text box under "FUNDING SOURCE CODE (STATE TRAINING AUTHORITY)" allows you to define the 3-letter code of any funding programs you use.

Examples of common funded codes:

SAS = Smart & Skilled

TQP =

CSQ = Construction Skills Queensland

SAT = School Based Trainees

These will then appear in a drop-down selector on your FUNDED TRAINING form. Enter COMMA-separated list of codes. This field will automatically populate with any codes you may have used previously in Vasto funded training reporting.

Rules for withdrawn students

When a student has NOT STARTED any units they can get a DNS Withdrawn status.

When a student HAS COMMENCED some training but has withdrawn, you must select for all units in that enrolment as withdrawn and insert the start and completed dates.

NOTE: The completed date is the day they are withdrawn.

FAQ: How do I withdraw students from NSW funded training?

Edit each of the abandoned unit outcomes to be either "Discontinued Subsidised Training (NSW)" or "Withdrawn - Did Not Start (NSW)". The easiest way to do this is to open the students progress tracker and click the UNIT OUTCOME EDITOR button, where you can quickly change all units at once using the APPLY TO ALL SELECTED ROWS feature. Remember to set the COMPLETED date for each of these as the date of the withdrawal.
