The purpose of archiving is to keep your admin portal list views tidy, and to only show those items you're currently using. It allows you to move these courses from the main course list to the archive list, to reduce clutter and keep these courses separate.
Archiving only changes how the course is displayed in the admin portal. It has no impact whatsoever for your student enrolments - students won't see any difference from the student portal. A course can be un-archived at any time to use as a live course again.
TIP: Courses which have been timetabled and studied by students should be archived (and not deleted).
How to archive a course
- EDIT the course
- Click the ARCHIVE button at the bottom of the page.
The course will now be moved to the "Archived Courses" page.
NOTE: This step will only archive the course shell, and does not archive any units which are used in the course. If you need to archive these units as well, you will need to archive these individually.
How to un-archive a course
- Go to COURSES > MY COURSES
- Click the ARCHIVED COURSES button, to view these archived courses.
- When on the archived courses page, first EDIT the desired course:
- Next, click the UN-ARCHIVE button at the bottom of the page.
The course will now be taken out of the ARCHIVED COURSES list and will be moved to the main COURSES list.
