How to add a Virtual Training Practical Activity to a Unit.
Once you have created the virtual classroom / training venue, you will need to ensure your unit(s) that you wish to deliver via a virtual practical session, have the relevant activity setup.
To do this, go to COURSES --> MY UNITS and then select the relevant unit from the list.
When the unit has been selected, click on the activities tab (which should be selected by default). Click the add activity button, and select practical session as the activity type.
Click the specs tab.
Ensure that you give the activity a title. We recommend naming the activity in line with the unit - this way when there are multiple units that have virtual classrooms assigned, the student will be able to ascertain which virtual session relates to which unit. Set passing grade as applicable then click save.
Click on the paths tab. Either create a new pathway, or edit an existing one and ensure that you have applied the practical session activity to one of your pathways. Once this is done, click save
The final step here is to tick the below box at activity level, for any units you are applying virtual classrooms to. This will enable them to display the relevant information in the student portal.
