Welcome to 2025!
It's that time again and our first release for 2025 goes live on January 30. We've had a refreshing Christmas and New Year's break and have hit the ground running with a new release focused on fleshing out some existing functionality, implementing some Feature Suggestions and fixing some bugs.
New Features
- Added our "new portal menu" to the Trainer, Assessor, Coordinator and Agent Portals. Much like the Student Portal, these can be reverted to the old style menu from the setup menu -> system defaults-> Student portal settings → apply modern styles checkbox.
-
Expanded our Practical Placements feature:
-
Practical Placements are now shown in the Student Portal.
-
Practical Placements are now shown in the Assessor portal (where you’re the assessor for a placement) and the coordinator portal (where you’re the supervisor for the placement).
-
Added Practical Placements view to Organisations
-
Added a “Practical Placement Logbook” option when looking at your placements in the relevant portal.
-
-
Updated our workflow manager
-
Workflow tasks are now assigned and show workflow items in the relevant portals (e.g., tasks for students will appear in the Student Portal).
-
Notifications for assigned tasks are sent to relevant parties
-
In addition to the “checkbox” and “dropdown” options previously, a “free-text” and a “file” type have been added.
-
-
Added in the ability to mark admin users as read-only.
Improvements
- We updated our Catapult Integration to set unit status as well as activity status when Catapult activities are updated.
-
We now store your course-specific prefix against certificates if one is present. With this stored in the database, anywhere the certificate is shown in the system will include that prefix instead of only on the generated PDF.
-
When adding items to an invoice, particularly when creating an ad-hoc invoice, it’s now easier to find timetable or booking IDs as we’ve added a search that helps you find the right person. Additionally, formatting options have been added so when a booking is located, you can configure whether the booking ID, names, etc., are included in the line item description.
-
Added a preference for the Student Portal that controls whether or not the Course/Unit introduction text is shown or hidden by default.
-
Added the option to “attempt to include middle name” on certificates. If the whole name is longer than 45 characters, the middle name will be automatically excluded.
-
When viewing the certificate queue for a single enrolment, we now clearly indicate that this is happening and provide a link to see the queued certificates for the timetable.
-
Reworked the Enrolment Progression Report to include completion amounts and percentages for Units, Activities, and Time completed.
-
Changed the confusing radio and check buttons against an organisation to allow you to select 0-all of the categories. This has been reflected on the Organisation page, where the chips have been changed to contain icons instead of words.
Bugs
-
Fixed the “tick all” and “untick all” buttons on the Session Results page of the Trainer Portal.
-
Fixed an issue preventing users from accessing the Widgets setup page.
-
Fixed an issue where attempting to upload a document attached to a CRICOS event was not working.
