Release 5.97

The 5.97 release focuses on compliance with the new RTO Standards, introducing support for LLND testing integration through LLN Robot. This feature helps ensure students complete required language, literacy, numeracy, and digital capability assessments before proceeding with enrolment. In addition to this major feature, we’ve delivered performance improvements, refined password workflows, and enhanced flexibility across messaging, reports, and staff assignment. A wide range of bugs were also resolved—many of which address edge-case issues and long-standing interface quirks.

New Features

• Added support for the new RTO Standards around LLND testing before enrolments are paid for. Please check our Help Centre for more information about this feature.
• Implemented options for sending Automated Messages at more appropriate times during the day, based on the timezone of the timetable item.

Improvements

• Updated our USI web services connection code.
• Fixed an issue where HTML tags were being stripped from Module content textboxes.
• Allowed for direct text entry of a Training Coordinator on a booking in the case you did not want to set up a coordinator with portal access.
• Added the [not qualified] text next to assessor names in dropdowns, matching the trainer experience.
• Added the ability for admin users to view invoices that have been deleted within Vasto.
• Updated the student enrolment process to direct students to a “set your password” page, instead of requiring them to click a “reset your password” link from their welcome email.

Bugs

• Fixed an issue with the Certificate Export timing out.
• Made changes to the voucher and redemption pages to have a more consistent ordering (newest first, then alphabetically by surname), and look.
• Password encoding fixes.
• Dashboard fix.
• Fixed availability bug preventing copying to another day.
• Fixed an issue where individual CT results were overwritten in the Enrolment Progress Editor.
• Fixed an issue where students could reply to broadcast messages and the notification would be sent to an unintended recipient.
• Fixed an issue with automatically-assessed exams not being able to retake questions.
• Removed the polyfill.io library as it had been taken over by a malicious company and was appearing in security scans.
• Fixed strange theme bugs in portals and emails.
• Fixed issue with partner portal "create new org" page not working.
• Fixed an issue where Xero Credit Notes were not being included when we were counting applied credit notes.
• Fixed an issue with timetable switching on the admin portal when switching to a different course/unit.
• Fixed an issue with some exams not marking as complete after a student reaches the passing grade.
