We're happy to announce our latest release for Vasto Educator will be available on March 27, 2025.  This release includes some new functionality to help manage your ongoing students, collect payments more effectively

New Features

• Added Delivery Schedules. These allow you to say when units and activities should be made available to students, and will automatically lock access outside of those times.
  • Timetable items get a preview of the dates for each unit/activity.
  • Added the ability to open or close units and activities based on the Delivery Schedule setup.
  • Added the ability to manually lock and unlock units and activities within a delivery schedule.
• Added Direct Debits through EziDebit.
  • You can configure direct debit schedules per timetable item.
  • These are then selectable by an enrolling student.
  • Payments are taken in line with the schedule, and notifications sent back to the system to keep enrolments open or block them after failed payment.
• You can now get your Annual Declaration of Compliance to the Federal Regulator numbers from within Vasto, without needing to request a custom report.
  • Simply navigate to Report -> RTO Compliance -> RTO Renewal and click the "Generate numbers" button.

Improvements

• We’ve added some new layouts for the New South Wales and Queensland Training Plans to be more in line with requirements for those states.
• Trainers will now be able to see students who have completed a unit when viewing their session attendance list.
• Added a preference to hide “gender” selection from the “My Student Profile” page in the Student Portal for non-VET students. Please note that this field is enforced if the student has a VET course attached to their profile for reporting reasons.

Bugs

• Fixed an issue where removed elective units were preventing some enrolments from showing correctly in the Custom Report Generator.
• Fixed an issue where students were not showing in the corporate portal’s “My Students” list.
• Fix for read only mode being incorrect depending on the user.
• Fix for duplicate units showing up in timetable item pathways page under clusters.
• Fix "begin payment" function ignoring the "always use master brand" option.
• Fix for widgets not showing correct code on get code button press.
• Fix for invoices not being synced before payments were attempted.
• Fix for Catapult units not showing on Assessor Lodged page.
• Fix for JWPlayer five skin not working.
• Added renewal_report_previous_calendar_year.php file to get data for new questions.
• Feedback employer survey fix for incorrect params on non-VET courses.
• Fix for importer importing duplicates if first or last name do not match.
