Create a Certificate Template

If you are setting up certificates for the first time: SET UP > CERTIFICATES

Choose to allow Downloadable Certificates

If you enable this functionality, upon course completion, as admin you send an alert to your completed students with the click of a button that prompts them to login to their portal to access their certificate. This eliminates the manual need to send via email.

Configure your System Certificate Settings

Set the starting number and alpha-numeric prefix for each certificate or completion confirmation type. Certificates will be numbered sequentially beginning at your defined starting number for each set. You can also set a sequencing number format that applies to ALL certificates issued.

Note: Transitory Certificates are a single Statement of Attainment document lists all completed units to date for any given enrolment on the front page of the certificate

Please note: These settings cannot be changed once you have ACTIVATED certificates in your account.

3. Add New Certificate Template

Add a TITLE for the template.

If the template will be a child template for an existing parent template, choose the parent template here. If you are unsure, leave this drop-down box blank.

A child template is usually a version of another template which includes slightly different branding, or other small differences. By designating the template a child of the main parent template, this allows you to keep your templates better organised.

See Create Child Certificate Template for more information.

4. Clone Certificate Template You can also create a NEW certificate template that is a clone in every respect of another.

Go to SETUP > CERTIFICATES. On the left, enter a name for a NEW template, then from the 2nd drop-down selector, choose the template you want to clone. Click CONTINUE and it will show the new clone with all settings of the original applied.

Include Statement of Results - Page 2 of Certificate

Certificates can have a rear page, if desired. This creates a second page in the PDF file for the certificate.

This rear page can be printed on the rear of the certificate (if printing double-sided), or can be printed on a separate sheet of paper. This will depend on your own preferences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Can I have the dates completed appear on the statement of results?

Answer: As this is not a mandatory requirement from ASQA this is unfortunately not possible. You can review this information via a student's transcript.

Question: How do I access a student's transcript?

Answer: This is accessible from a student's profile, loading up the relevant progress tracker and then selecting the transcript PDF to view.
