We're happy to announce our latest update to the Vasto Educator platform!

New Features

• Added Winston AI to the Assessor Portal to determine how likely it is that a response was written by AI.
• Added Violet AI to Assessor Portal to help assessors determine if a written response matches the assessment benchmarks for a question.
• Added Violet AI to Admin Portal to assist with replying to System Messages (e.g. Contact Admin from the Student Portal) by suggesting a response.

Bug

• Fixed issue with subscriber ID not being correctly set on un-synced payments, restricting their deletion.
• Partner Portal scope no longer shows units not authorised for the partner to deliver.
• Fixed an issue where the Internal Reference Number was not saved when initially creating a new student.
• Fixed an issue when searching for a student name that contained an apostrophe.
• Added the ability for the primary subscriber user to restore any deleted Automated Messaging rules.
• Fixed default font issue on generated certificates and mini certificates.
• Fixed an issue where duplicating an exam resulted in the “fail” text not being copied.
• Fixed a bug where Templates that had no usages were unable to be deleted.
• Fixed issue with CAE containers being counted (and throwing off course completion counts) when the same module is included in another course.
• Fixed sizing of main portal logo.  If your logo is too big, it will get resized automatically.  Please keep in mind, 300x60 pixels is the ideal size.
• Changed the funding contact program identifier to accept 5 characters in the UI (previously 12) to align with the database field.
• Fixed an issue where changing the Contract Code for a Funding Contract didn’t update the code reported in AVETMISS generation.
• Winston AI was returning "no plagiarism" if the question has already been analysed and you clicked the button a second time.
• Randomly ordering a selection of your quiz questions now functions as expected.

Improvement

• We now allow Admin Users to edit a Student's Catapult username.  We have also added a field for tracking a Catapult Trainer user's username, so you only need one profile in Vasto.
• Updated wording for VET FEE-HELP Indicator to “Income Contingent Loan Indicator (VSL)”
• Enhanced login security by changing password reset page to send a reset link that allows a user to enter their own password.
• Added RTO number to Academic Transcript report.
• Added a VET privacy notice field into System Defaults.  This now appears at the bottom of the VET Profile page, near the submit button.
• System Defaults page now has a WYSIWYG editor for all text fields, so you can use rich text without needing to enter HTML.
• Updated password requirements when users set their own password.
• Added the ability to export the USI workbench to a CSV file.
• Added country of birth and indigenous status to Custom Report Generator.
• Restrict deletion of activities for a unit that has enrolments.
• Allowed users the ability to view funding information for cancelled enrolments.  Previously, these enrolments were hidden from the “Enrolments for Booking” page.
• Confirmation emails are only sent to students whose enrolments are considered “active” when sending confirmations from this page.
• Partners can now change student usernames in Partner Portal.
• Updated certificate generator to allow transparency in signatures, meaning you no longer need to embed them in your artwork to have a signature over your background.
• Updated certificate artwork uploader to allow for PNG images.
• Updated a lot of unit and course dropdowns to improve performance and searchability.
• Fixed an issue where invalid email addresses (as per RFC1035) would result in people not being created with zero feedback.
• Enabled an option to let you choose how unpaid enrolments should be treated as part of the enrolment process.
• Added status column and filters to certificate listings on Person Profile page and Certificate History page.
• Added clarity around the title or internal title option when selecting fields to show in the timetable widget.
• Added a button to show a linked mini-cert to the person profile and timetable students pages so you can easily see your mini certificates/wallet cards, as well as edit certificates
