Release 5.88

We're happy to announce version 5.88 of Vasto Educator.

This release has looked at some of our outstanding Feature Requests and Bug Reports, as we continue to work towards improving our system stability.

New Feature

• Added notifications and alerts for Education Agents when application status changes or payments are received.
• Added the ability to remove MFA for a user if they need to reset it. This requires that you have MFA enabled and the appropriate permissions to edit users.
• Added the ability to apply your custom tracking codes by venue(s) instead of a whole state. When using this method, venues can be across states.
• Added the option to include an employer and parent signature on the training plan that you can generate within the Enrolment Progress Tracker.

Improvement

• You can now re-order the Training Resources against a course or unit and have this reflected in the Trainer Portal
• Dummy bookings are now excluded from the Assessor Portal
• Training venues can now have notes added explicitly for trainer/assessor view. These notes are only shown in the Trainer/Assessor Portals and never to students.
• We have provided an option to remove the “Download Full Certificate” button from the “Document Authenticity Verification” screen.
• Made it possible to delete multiple questions from an exam, assuming no-one had answered any yet.
• Allowed Training Partners to have multiple admin people.
• Added individual attendance reports to the Trainer Portal. You can now see all of a student’s attendance by visiting their profile page.
• Added filters to the certificate production queue.
• Added sortable date columns to the certificate history page.
• The “activity details” popup is now 2 screens, with the “type” page being replaced with a drop-down.
  • The first page contains all of the basic details such as name, type, compulsory, credits and passing grade.
  • The second page contains the remaining tabs we always provided, but if you’re editing an Exam, SCORM or LTI activity, you’re given that tab first.
  • The design of this popup has also been modernised as part of this process.
• We’ve improved the selector for courses and units when creating a new timetable item. Previously, this was limited to 10 records, but we’re now using our “new style” selector, which is limitless.

Bug

• Resolved an issue where corporate portal student stats were not updating twice daily
• Fixed the filters for “Open Submissions” in the Assessor Portal
• Automated Messages that were being sent out for certificate expiry and renewal now contain the code and name for the individual unit that was expiring, not the course code and name from the certificate.
• Automated messaging [cert_expiry] tag in templates is using module expiry instead of certificate expiry
