The replicate function will clone the entire exam, creating an exact replica of this exam. 

When replicated, both the exam shell and any questions within it are duplicated, so you can freely edit the replicated exam and questions in it without affecting students and results against the original exam and questions. 

How to Replicate an Exam

1. Go to Courses > My Exams
   
   
2. Use the search function or locate the exam in the list, and click the edit icon
   
   
3. Click the replicate button
   
   
   
4. Enter a title for the replicated exam
   As a default option, it will populate with the original exam title appended with (copy)
   
   
5. Select whether you want the admin description copied to the new replica exam
   If this is where you define the exam version you may not want it to copy across
   
   
6. Click button to create  
   
   
   
7. Select whether you want to remain in the original version of the exam, or be taken to the replica exam
   
   
   

Replicated Questions

When you replicate an exam, the questions within it are duplicated. 

All the question details remain the same, the only exception is the Question ID Reference, and the Question ID number.

Question ID Reference the replicated exam question will automatically have a numerical suffix added to it, to assist in differentiating the cloned question(s) from the original question(s).

eg. a dash and the number two (-2) is added behind the QID Reference to indicate this is replica version 2.

This will be added regardless of whether you have provided a Question ID Reference, as this is an optional field.

Question ID number the replicated exam question will be allocated it's own unique question ID number automatically on creation.

Locating Replica Exams

If an exam has been replicated, the replicated version/s are recorded in the exam details of the original version of the exam.

How to Copy an Exam to a Linked Vasto Account

This is an add on setting for subscribers who hold multiple Vasto subscriber accounts. 

If using multiple accounts, you can replicate an exam created in one account across to the other account/s.

1. Follow the steps above to replicate an exam
2. Additional section is available, allowing you to select from your linked accounts the target account you would like the exam replicated into
3. Click button to copy, and you will get on screen confirmation it has been copied across successfully
   
4. You will need to log out of this account and log into the target account to view the replica copy exam
