Free Text Field questions allow the student to write a short answer into a text box. This answer is then manually assessed by a human via the assessor portal.
When creating the question, assessment benchmarks or guidelines can be provided, giving the assessor a helpful framework to assist them when marking the question.
How to Create Free Text Field Questions
- Select the Free Text Field as the response type
- Provide assessment benchmarks - this text is visible to assessors when they are grading the question via the assessor portal, and is designed to provide a helpful framework for assessing the student's response
Alternatively, you can provide a link to externally stored material
