File Submission Questions

A File Submission question requires the student to upload and submit a file which is then manually assessed by a human via the assessor portal.

The file which they upload may be a document of their own creation - for example an essay or a video recording.

You might also provide a template document, where the student is required to complete this and submit for assessment.

How to Create a File Submission Question

  1. Select file submission as the response typemceclip0.png
  2. Upload a question resource (optional)> If you want to provide a template for students to complete, this should be provided in the question resources section

  3. Provide assessment benchmarks - this text is visible to assessors when they are grading the question via the assessor portal, and is designed to provide a helpful framework for assessing the student's response. Alternatively, you can provide a link to a file, eg. correctly completed template
